This month, we are kicking off The Resolution to Cure T1D. We have three great resources to get you started:
Chances are you either have students at your school or members of your community who have diabetes. Diabetes is one of the most serious chronic childhood diseases, effecting over 186,000 youth in the United States.
Kids for a Cure provides everything your school or organization will need to launch a fun and successful campaign—from fundraising ideas to materials—making this an easy program to administer! Schools and organizations are welcome to design their own fundraising program (bake sale, dance-a-thon, hat day, can collection, etc.) or raise funds via one the following JDRF methods:
- Spare Change Collection: JDRF will provide classroom collection containers with colorfulstickers to decorate the containers and individual student collection bags.
- Kids Walk: Select a date, time and location. Students collect donations and then walk for a cure.
- Paper Sneakers: Sell JDRF paper sneakers and line your walls with red, blue, green and yellow sneakers!
Proudly display your success! All schools/groups raising $1,000+ will also receive a 3’x 5’ fabric banner personalized with school/group name!
To sign up for Kids for a Cure, visit www.jdrfkidsforacure.org. In addition to the supplies requested, JDRF will send you helpful information and templates to use for your fundraiser, and be in touch to answer questions and serve as a resource. It’s that easy!
